Maintenance Analysis Based on Reliability of Main Engine Lubrication System with Markov Method

Maintenance of the main engine lubrication system determines engine’s performance and components based on standard Japan Institute Plant Maintenance. The purpose analysis is to determine critical evaluate every component as a base maintenance planning preventive measure avoid downtime during ship operations. Data needed are ship’s motion, damage frequency, components’ downtime, diagram. was analyzed qualitatively with Failure Mode Effect Analysis Fault Tree well quantitatively Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Markovian Decision Process, distribution. Results show that LO filter crisis 120 RPN Pump (standby) 105 RPN. FTA results there 3 lost types cause happening failure pressure oil low , overheating pollution in oil. At its steady-state conditions, have probability 0.45 experience moderate 0.55 be severe damage. Therefore, it recommended carry out before passing MTTF value each so can work optimally.
